Tattoo Removal Cream Reviews

The craze for tattoos, in many instances end in a search for a safe and effective tattoo removal method. In addition to the conventional methods of tattoo removal like laser, dermabrasion, salabrasion and excision, tattoo removal creams have also come into the picture and are gaining much popularity. The increasing popularity of tattoos have led to the emergence of newer tattoo removal methods. Today a tattoo is a style statement, while originally, tattoos were used to serve several other purposes. It was used to signify status or rank, religious or spiritual devotion and as a mark of identification. It was also widely used in Germany during the Holocaust in the Nazi concentration camps as an identification system for the Jews. Tattoos are made by inserting ink into the deeper layer of the skin, known as dermis, which is found beneath the top layer or epidermis. There are basically two types of tattoos, temporary, made by henna or silver nitrate and permanent tattoos. Temporary tattoos generally fade off within a couple of days, while the permanent ones require special treatments for their removal.

Tattoo Removal Methods
Most people want to know how to remove a homemade tattoo. The common methods available for tattoo removal are dermabrasion, surgical excision, salabrasion and laser. Out of these, laser tattoo removal is considered as the most effective method. Here laser beams are used to break down the ink, which is then absorbed and eliminated by the immune system. However, the method is quite expensive, painful, and may require several sessions. In recent times, these creams have gained considerable popularity, and you will come across a lot of advertisements for these products on the Internet.

Creams for Removing Unwanted Tattoos
The main advantage of these creams over their counterparts is that they are less expensive. Besides this, they can be used at home without taking the help of any professional or expert. It is considered by many as a non-invasive method of tattoo removal that does not involve bleeding as well as scarring risks. Most of the products also claim that they do not affect skin pigments and quite painless as compared to other methods.

These creams work slowly to remove the top layer of skin, while some other products claim to penetrate the deeper layers of skin for dissolving the ink. However, success would depend on several factors including the type of ink used, size of the tattoos, skin type, location of the tattoo, etc. Generally, it is easier to remove or fade the old tattoos than the new ones. Light colored and small tattoos fade easily as compared to large dark-colored tattoos. The effectiveness of these creams also depends on whether a tattoo is homemade or made by a professional. Complete removal of tattoos with creams is quite difficult, though some products may be effective in reducing their visibility considerably.

It has been observed that significant differences exist among the different brands of tattoo removal products. As against the popular belief that tattoo removal creams involve comparatively less risks, the use of some products may not be safe at all. One should especially beware of those products marketed through unproven and unreliable sources. They may cause burning or scarring. Inflammation or infection may also occur, along with allergic reactions like skin rashes or blisters.
